Warning signs

Walk away, or at least pause, if you encounter:

• Pressure to book quickly, especially ‘today-only’ discounts.
• Reluctance to confirm GMC specialist registration or show their own results.
• You only meet a salesperson or ‘patient adviser’, never the operating surgeon.
• Unrealistic promises — ‘no scars’, ‘permanent’, ‘risk-free’, or a ‘non-surgical facelift’ that matches surgery.
• No clear aftercare or revision policy, or an unregulated venue.
• A price far below the typical range with vague inclusions.
• Being upsold procedures you did not ask about and do not need.
