Where the scars sit
Well-planned facelift scars hide in the contours of the ear and the hairline and usually fade to be very discreet. Poorly planned incisions or excessive tension can leave more visible scars or a pulled earlobe (‘pixie ear’).
Protecting the hairline
Incisions placed without care for the hairline can shift or distort it, leaving tell-tale signs of surgery. Experienced surgeons design incisions to preserve the natural hairline and sideburn position. This planning is part of what you are paying for.
