What drives the price
Several real costs sit behind the headline figure:
- Surgeon’s experience and technique — a deep plane lift takes longer and demands rarer skill.
- Anaesthetic — a consultant anaesthetist and theatre time for a longer operation.
- Hospital — a CQC-regulated facility with proper facilities and overnight care costs more than a clinic cutting corners.
- Aftercare — follow-up, nursing and any revision policy.
Why cheapest is rarely best
