Minor asymmetry, relapse over time, and when revision is considered.
Asymmetry
No face is perfectly symmetrical to begin with, and minor differences between the two sides after a facelift are common and usually settle as swelling resolves. Significant asymmetry is less common and should be discussed with your surgeon.
Relapse and revision
A facelift does not stop ageing, and tissues gradually relax over the years. Some patients choose a touch-up or secondary lift later. Early minor revisions — for a small scar issue or residual laxity — are occasionally needed and are usually minor procedures. A reputable surgeon will discuss their revision policy upfront.
